Automatic station “Luna-25”

Roskosmos announced the launch date for Russia’s first lunar exploration mission – the launch of Luna-25, the astronomical astronomical “window”, was made on July 13 this year. At the same time, it is specified that Luna-25, which is already ready for operation, can be launched “at least tomorrow”, but taking into account ballistic calculations, it is necessary to “wait until summer”.

Recall that in mid-December last year, Roscosmos announced that the Vega concern, which is part of Rostec, had brought to working condition all the elements of the Doppler speed and range meter, also known as DISD-LR – it is responsible for soft landing at the place of residence and earlier in terms of numbers not in the population.

As part of this mission, an automatic probe (station), called Luna-25, will be delivered for research to the south pole of the moon, where the junior landing is completed near the famous astronomer’s crater named after Boguslavsky.

Later, as expected, the space center will be sent to the Moon with the research centers of the automatic stations “Luna-26”, as well as “Luna-27”, and the subsequent “Luna-29” will be sent to the Earth’s satellite already from Moonlight.
