While HyperOS 2.0 continues its journey to Western countries, Xiaomi is already focused on releasing the new version. We’re talking about HyperOS 2.1continuation of the current system. This is not surprising, because although the new software is only available on a few devices outside of China, In the Asian country it is available for much longer.. So it’s normal that a company wants to start releasing updates to fix bugs and implement more things. Something like what Apple just did with iOS 18.2.
And although your Xiaomi mobile phone cannot yet be updated to HyperOS 2.1, every change that the company implements is relevant. Because? Well, most of the updates that come with the new version they too will sooner or later switch to global software. That is, when 2.1 Global becomes official, today we will tell you the news that you will receive.
And while you might think that HyperOS 2.0 is moving very slowly, it’s actually not. Today we learned that Xiaomi is updating four new devices in Europe. Namely: Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi 13, POCO X6 5G and POCO M6. It is also necessary to add to them the remaining terminals that have already received the new software.
6 New Features Coming to HyperOS 2.1
What was promised is a debt and came directly from China, we can now know. what things Xiaomi implements in HyperOS 2.1. These aren’t drastic changes or incredible features, just a minor update that aims to fix certain bugs as well as tweak some things we didn’t like about HyperOS 2.0. They are as follows.
- New pop-ups in the Dynamic Island style. HyperOS 2.1 redesigned the app notifications displayed in the front camera area. They’re now more complete, you can interact with them more, and they have a more refined design.
- New gameTurbo 2.1. Xiaomi also took the opportunity to release an interesting update to its gaming mode. It now contains more detail, displays more information, and has more control over the device’s performance while gaming.
- Classic scenario. HyperOS 2.1 also integrates a new lock screen template that includes simple typography, traditional wallpapers, and a very minimalistic look.
- Animations. We don’t know why, but the company has decided to update the animations associated with the apps. They should now be prettier and more responsive to touch, which doesn’t go over well with the big update they announced in that regard.
- Multimedia notifications. HyperOS 2.1 adds a new attached media notification. This shows what song is playing, its cover art, and playback controls. Xiaomi has implemented a new design protocol by changing the typography and making some icons clearer.
- HyperConnect. Finally, the way the HyperConnect service operates has been updated. It is no longer just a good system for transferring files and data between your devices in the Xiaomi ecosystem, it now also serves to interact with other users’ terminals. Unfortunately, this is one of those things that probably won’t come to Spain or Latin America.
