Samsung continues to release beta version One UI 7 at a very good pace. The Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra, the brand’s first updated phones, have already received the second version, and all indications are that the third beta version of the company’s customization level will arrive in the first weeks of January.

It will do this too with special improvementas seen on the X (Twitter) account Ice Universe, which typically posts information about Samsung products and news related to the Asian firm’s mobile software.

This ensures that the third beta of One UI 7 significantly speeds up fingerprint unlocking than in other versions. The account, by the way, shared a video that shows the Galaxy S24 Ultra activating just a few seconds after the user clicks on the scanner area.

It is unclear what the reason for this improvement is, but all indications are that it is related to animation speed adjustment. Samsung would increase it to make it seem like unlocking is significantly faster. In addition, the device in the video has the Always-On screen activated, which can also speed up unlocking since it is not completely disabled.

What other improvements are coming to One UI 7?

One UI 7 will bring other new features besides a faster fingerprint scanner. A new level of company customization that will work with Android 15will also include new animations, more AI-powered features, and a new Quick Settings panel, where some elements have been changed to make the interface more intuitive.

We have to keep in mind that one of UI 7 is in early betas, and that Samsung will likely add more features as new versions are released.

When will it be officially released? Samsung is expected to start updating its high-end devices, namely the Galaxy S24, Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, in February. Later it may appear on other devices in the Galaxy S family, as well as on Galaxy A series devices.
