According to information from the newspaper New York Timesa apple announced the termination of his contract with the company. from loveby former Apple designer Jony Ive (Jonathan Ive). Initially, the contract between the companies closed in 2019 when the designer left the company after 27 years at Apple.

I said at the time that I hoped to work with Apple for a long time – but it doesn’t seem to be working out very well. Steve Jobs’ company signed an agreement worth approximately US$100 million (about R$540 million at current prices) to work with LoveFrom.

The contract was supposed to be renewed in the last few weeks, but both parties agreed not to extend the work for another year. According to information, some Apple executives did not approve of the values transferred to Ive, and also did not like the dismissal of several designers in the company – many of them left precisely to work at LoveFrom.

Also, apparently, I wanted to accept new customers without needing Apple’s permission. This is why, among other reasons, both companies have decided not to continue the partnership – Apple COO Jeff William will continue to be responsible for Apple’s design team.

I first joined Apple in 1992 and am considered the designer responsible for the look and feel of many classic Apple products, including the iMac and iPhone. Ive was also responsible for the design of the system for Apple’s mobile devices during the development of iOS 7.
