Samsung has announced a new color option for its current high-end device. The Galaxy S22 will be available from August 10 in a muted purple color that the company calls “warm and optimistic.”
The name of the new color is “Bora Purple”. According to Samsung itself, bora is purple in Korean, so the name of this version of the Galaxy S22 can be translated as “purple purple”.
“With its pastel and neutral tones, Bora Purple represents optimism and calm. It will open your world with its power of choice. Whether you’re a K-pop star or a longtime purple lover, the Galaxy S22 Bora Purple is made for you,” said an executive at Samsung. Sonia Chang. “We are excited to introduce Bora Purple, a first for the S22, but also for exciting new Galaxy devices later in the year.”
The Galaxy S22’s purple option isn’t a surprise, as Samsung has a colorful roster of high-end devices, including a “lavender”-colored Galaxy Z Flip 3. The purple Galaxy S22 will go on sale on August 10.
