A glass Mac? Apple’s latest patent is promising

When it comes to computers, Apple isn’t just showing off their chips!

Apple has lived up to its minimalist and somewhat futuristic design style thanks to a new patent. iMac redesign, as we know. Although the latest model, introduced in 2021, delights users with its vibrant colors and thin screen offering, they are already considering how it can improve from Cupertino.

Patent registered with the name “Electronic device with glass shell member” before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Permanent glass body iMac.

Because it’s one piece, in addition to curved glass, Apple may include andl use of a wedge section holding the glassslotted to fit the curved section between the lower lip and the main upper panel. Also, this household components such as network connections, peripherals, and ports for power.

In documents, Apple has announced that the glass case can be made of transparent materials, coated, painted or otherwise processed to produce a non-transparent component. Translucent materials such as translucent polymers, translucent ceramics or the like may also be used.

While Apple patents do not and do guarantee the release of a device, a process that often takes years and involves many more patents, this iMac concept has encouraged several designers to submit the first concepts related to the patent. Share in previous pictures.
