After a year of absence, OnePlus has re-released a new model of its T series, which stands out – at least so far – for being a more fortified version compared to the original variant. At the same time, the Asian company, now owned by Oppo, announced OnePlus 10T; a mobile phone that outperforms the OnePlus 10 Pro launched a few months ago thanks to Qualcomm’s new processor, but sacrifices some of the firm’s most iconic features such as Warning slider or partnership with Hasselblad.
In fact, the OnePlus 10T is only a more powerful option compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 10 Pro, as the brand has also sacrificed some features. Thus, the main feature of this smartphone is its processor. The new OnePlus 10T is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen. one., the version is not only more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Pro model, but also, according to the company itself, more powerful. All this, in addition, with a RAM configuration reaching up to 16 GB and a 4800 mAh battery featuring fast charging, which 150 W. This power, in particular, allows you to replenish 100% of the battery charge in just 20 minutes.
The company also included a cooling system dubbed “3D Cooling System 2.0” which OnePlus says allows you to keep the terminal at a temperature 2-3 degrees lower than other similar smartphones after heavy gaming use. In terms of screen, the OnePlus 10T measures 6.7 inches. It’s a Full HD+ AMOLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Missing OnePlus 10T
We reiterate that the OnePlus 10T has important shortcomings compared to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Warning slider, a characteristic physical button located on the side, allows you to quickly activate the silent mode. Despite this, the company has decided to keep a design similar to the Pro model, in which its large photographic module stands out at the back.
And speaking of the camera; in this section we also see a significant absence. Partnership with Hasselblad is no longer available on the OnePlus 10T, so the modes designed by the lens manufacturer, as well as the results themselves, are likely to differ from what we could get with the OnePlus 10 Pro. In terms of configuration, the main sensor is the IMX766 50 MP. It is accompanied by a second 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera capable of capturing shots at an angle of 119 degrees. Finally, it includes a 2-megapixel macro lens.
OnePlus, yes, don’t forget Oxygen OS 12, its own level of customization that comes with Android 12. The new interface maintains the customization options of previous versions, but with a new look and feel. Now it’s even more powerful.
How much does a new OnePlus mobile phone cost?
OnePlus 10T is now available in Spain and other European countries for a price €699 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which is the most basic. The most powerful version with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is available for €799.
