Apple designed the iPhone operating system to be fairly easy to use. If you ask any fan of the company, they will probably tell you that iOS was designed in such a way that even a baby can use it. Cupertino clearly doesn’t want a kid to accidentally delete your photo albums, as they’ve managed to hide the feature pretty well.

For this, today we will show you how to delete photo albums from your iPhone. While this is not a complicated procedure, its placement can be counter-intuitive. This can result in you not finding an option where you think it should be, forcing you to accumulate several useless albums over a long period of time.

If you’ve had multiple iPhones, you’ll probably see a bunch of photo albums created and duplicated when moving photos from old to new. While some of them can be quite useful, others have already served their purpose and having them in place will only make it harder for you to navigate the Photos app. But don’t worry Below we leave you the procedure to eliminate them one by one.

How to delete a photo album from your iPhone

This procedure should work on any iPhone, regardless of the model. Similarly, you will also be able to complete the steps on your iPad.

How to Delete Photo Album on iPhone and iPad
  1. Find the app as a first step A photo on your iPhone or iPad and open it.
  2. Go to tab albums using the bottom panel.
  3. Once on this screen, you will see a double carousel menu with all the albums that currently exist on your device.
  4. In the upper right corner of this menu you will find a button view all. This is the one we are interested in, so click on it.
  5. When you are on a new screen, look for the button Edit in the top corner and click on it. You will then see icons with the symbol (-) in red above each album.
  6. Click on the red button for the albums you want to delete. Confirm your decision later by clicking on delete album.

Once this is done, the album will be deleted. Please note that this will not delete the photos in the albums. So, if that’s what you want to do, go to the album and delete the images before moving on to the previous step.

On the other hand, if the album has been synced to your iCloud account, it will also disappear from the rest of your devices. This way you won’t have to follow the steps again on iPad or Mac. One of the many benefits of the Apple ecosystem.
