As Apple pushed forward at the iPhone 14 special event, iOS 16, the new version of its flagship operating system, is now available. Although some of its novelties have faded into the background this time around, iOS 16 arrives with new options for usersamong which stands out a new customization of the lock screen.

The Shared Gallery is one of those great new features that we’ll have to wait for, but the rest of the options that come with iOS 16 for iPhone can be used starting today. widgets on the lock screen, automatic cropping of elements in photos, improvements in messages… a lot of new features with which you can personalize your iPhone even more.

As usual, iOS 16 is available through the system settings as an OTA update and its download size. It depends on the device you are installing it from.. iOS 16 is compatible with a large list of devices, although as usual, the oldest ones are left out and some options are limited to newer devices.

How to install iOS 16:

  1. Open the menu Settings your iPhone.
  2. Scroll through the menu and enter the section General.
  3. To choose Software update at the top of this menu.
  4. Later, you will see your iPhone start looking for a new version.

When you’re done searching click “Download and Install”, just below the text explaining what’s new in iOS 16. Once tapped, the iPhone will ask for an unlock code; enter it and complete the process.

  • iPhone 8/8 Plus.
  • iphone x
  • iPhone XS/XS Max.
  • iPhone xp
  • iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 mini, 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone SE 2 generation. and 3rd generation.

Along with iOS 16, watchOS 9 is also available. We recommend updating your devices to the latest version and backing up your data before installing.
