Battery test: iPhone 14 Pro Max unrivaled

Before we discuss the test and results in depth, it’s good to know where we start on each device. Curiously, iPhone 14 Pro has the smallest batteries in the entire rangeare the ones with the least capacity, but that doesn’t stop them from performing really well. Here are the batteries that assemble each of the smartphones that performed this test:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 4323mAh
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 3200mAh
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: 5000mAh
  • Pixel 7Pro: 5000mAh
  • Pixel 7: 4355mAh
  • Pixel 6Pro: 5000mAh

In the first part of the test we tried replicate typical web browsing, basically this test measures the hours we can surf the internet with our device. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max were the two winners of this test with a good advantage. The results were:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 19 hours 5 minutes
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 16 hours 18 minutes
  • Pixel 7Pro: 14 hours 19 minutes
  • Pixel 7: 13 hours 56 minutes
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: 13 hours 17 minutes
  • Pixel 6Pro: 13 hours 13 minutes

The second test consisted of: play the same YouTube video until the device’s battery dies. The brightness level is set to 100% on all phones. The results of this test were as follows:

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 11 hours and 0 minutes
  • Pixel 7Pro: 9 hours 39 minutes
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 9 hours 14 minutes
  • Pixel 7: 9 hours 13 minutes
  • Pixel 6Pro: 9 hours 10 minutes
  • Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: 7 hours 27 minutes

The results are incredible, especially if we take into account the capacity of the batteries. Obviously, iOS is a more optimized and working operating system as it consumes much less energy. What if Apple added a 5,000mAh battery to the iPhone 14 Pro Max? We would probably have a device with enough battery for three very busy days.
