How long does it take to fully charge the iPhone 14 Pro?
Because, iClarified I did Complete battery charge test for iPhone 14 Pro To find out how long it takes to fully charge your battery depending on the charger you use. Note that the iPhone 14 Pro has a 3,200 mAh battery.
In total, they tested six different chargers: the original AC adapter. 5W and more powerful options like chargers 12W, 20W, 30W, 140W, plus MagSafe wireless charger and measured the charging time of the iPhone. While the data is from the iPhone 14 Pro, it will be similar on the regular iPhone 14.
- 5W power adapter: 03:28:38
- 12W power adapter: 01:57:00
- MagSafe charger with 20W adapter: 02:03:40
- 20W power adapter: 01:39:37
- 30W power adapter: 01:37:47
- 140W power adapter: 01:37:27
As you can see, the maximum charging power seems close to 20W, with the more powerful 30 and 140W chargers we saw almost no improvement in overall charging speed. Then, It takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to charge the entire battery of iPhone 14 Pro if you are using a fast adapter.
Well, It takes 30 minutes to charge the first 50% of the battery and one hour and 10 minutes to charge the remaining 50%. This is normal as the speed slows down while charging so as not to harm the health of the battery. You can see the whole video iClarified next:
The truth is, it’s pretty bad data if we compare it to the competition. For example, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra takes just an hour to fully chargeand that “only” charges at 45W, there are other smartphones that charge much faster. Of course, it is a point that needs improvement on the Apple side, with the iPhone 15 and jumping to USB-C, we will see if it can succeed.
