The only Mac that Apple supports with an Intel chip could soon be upgraded with an Apple Silicon processor. Mark Gurman from Bloombergassured in its weekly newsletter that the Cupertino-based company is already actively testing the new Mac Pro with its own chip and really powerful features. Apple is also working on new MacBook Pro with M2 and M2 Pro chips and in mcmini which could be launched “in the coming months”.

According to Gurman, the Mac Pro currently being tested by Apple has its own chip that includes 24 core processordivided into 16 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores. He also has 76-core GPU and 192 GB of memory. This is a much more powerful configuration than the M1 Ultra chip in Mac Studio, which has a maximum of 20 CPU cores and 64 graphics performance cores.

On the other hand, the Mac Pro the company is working on runs macOS Ventura 13.3. However, its launch not planned until 2023. Its arrival could also result in Mac Studio no longer being part of Apple’s catalog because, according to the journalist, the company seems to think that Mac Studio will no longer be an option for more professional users.

MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Ultra chips and Mac minis could arrive in the coming months.

Apple may also update Mac mini with M2 chip including the current 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
