The day has come, as promised by Apple, new versions of its operating systems are now available to everyone. On the one hand, iOS/iPadOS 16.1 is coming to iPhone and iPad respectively with some new features. In the case of the Apple tablet, this update brings Stage Manager with it. as an exclusive novelty for some of the latest models, and both have iCloud Shared Library and live action.

All of this, along with the expected bug fixes and improvements to overall system stability, is much needed, especially in the case of the iPhone, some models of which kept the SIM card error, which was quite annoying. However, while the iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch are getting their updates, the highlight of the day is the arrival of macOS Ventura.

The operating system for Mac is finally available after several months of beta testing (starting at WWDC). and also brings to the Mac Stage Manager, Compatibility with all iOS 16 improvements (for example, using a unique password in notes). All this combined with a host of new features.

And in general, a new look at some parts of the system, such as the Settings application (System Preferences), which now looks like what it was on the iPhone and iPad. There are also new apps on the Mac like Time or Clock, although they are minor additions.

However, macOS Ventura is not available for commands. The compatibility list is somewhat more limited this year, so make sure your Mac is compatible before you upgrade or it won’t let you upgrade. This is the complete list:

  • Mac Pro (2019 and up)

As usual, back up your Mac before starting to update your hardware. And if you use a Mac for work, make sure any professional software you use is compatible before you upgrade. Otherwise, we recommend waiting a few weeks before upgrading.

iPadOS 16.1, iOS 16.1, watchOS 9.1, and macOS Ventura are available as an OTA update through System Settings.
