iPhone 15 USB-C port only works with MFi certified accessories
Apple has relaunched the Made For iPhone program despite replacing the Lightning port with USB-C.
A few days ago, we commented on the news that the USB-C port of the iPhone 15 series may be turned off and limited to certain Apple accessories. In theory, development of the new USB-C port will be based on a USB-Lightning port. i.e. your restrictions on non-Apple cables, adapters, and other accessories remain.
Now a new leak seems to confirm the news. popular from the inside has insured twitter Apple plans to implement a USB-C port mfi certificate. He added that Foxconn has already started mass production of accessories such as “EarPods and cables.”

Foxconn facilities host production of the first Apple cables and adapters. And according to the leak, they have mfi certificate. This confirms that the iPhone 15’s USB-C port will be disabled.
Apple’s MFi (Made For iPhone) program a certificate to authorized third-party accessories manufacturers must pay Apple to obtain said certificate.
On the bright side, you can get a 3rd party MFI cable very cheaply if you don’t like the official one.

The European Union has forced Apple to add a USB-C port to its future electronics, so we know for sure iPhone 15 will have USB-C. Now, there will be a USB-C port limited to MFi accessories.
