Mark Zuckerberg gave a preview of Meta’s new virtual reality headset, and it’s expected to launch in December this year. This Cambria Project can still accept your name Meta Quest ProOculus officially deprecates its brand Your original venture purchased in 2014.
During the presentation, which aired last Thursday (12/05), Meta’s CEO showed some interesting news about the new version of VR glasses, such as the evolution of mixed reality mode that combines real space with virtual objects and events.
Bringing the virtual and real worlds together, now colorful
The Presence Platform is nothing new to Oculus Quest 2 owners: it uses a transition method that captures the user’s surroundings and transmits the image to the headset’s screen. But so far, real-world items are displayed in black and white.
The current experience is already quite satisfying and allows you to interact with digital elements without damaging the coffee table or kicking the sofa. However, the device of the future captures and reproduces space with high color accuracy.

Rather than mitigating the inconvenience of virtual reality systems, improving the mixed reality experience, one of the main focuses of Zuckerberg’s company is to create an attractive metadata repository for larger user groups, not just tech geeks.
The Meta Quest Pro name is yet to be confirmed, but rebranding Proposal to unite all the services of Meta and the company under one strong brand. The launch is still scheduled for the end of the year, but no date has been set so far.
