The cameras are the highlight of the device in addition to the design. On the back, the brand uses a main sensor with a resolution of 50 MP with a lens aperture of f / 1.4. Maurício Moisés, the company’s global product and camera manager, points out: there is a sensor dedicated to understanding ambient light and making automatic scene adjustments.

The wider aperture in the lens allows for more light penetration, boosting the company, a feature that promises to take better photos in low light conditions. This is the camera set on the device:

  • main camera: 50 MP (f/1.4), with optical image stabilization (OIS)

  • secondary camera: 13 MP (f/2.2), ultra-wide, macro and depth

  • front camera: 32MP (f/2.4)

Thiago Masuchette, Motorola’s product manager, says it’s okay to only have two rear cameras. He points out that the brand is betting on user experience, not camera count. Among the new features, the mobile has horizontal stabilization, which uses the camera with a wider angle to stabilize videos in motion.

Other features include 4K video recording on all sensors at up to 60fps on the main sensor, an enhanced “vlog mode” that only shows the image of the user talking; a “portrait video” mode that blurs the background; more vibrant colors in photos and selfies that preserve the original features of faces.

According to the company, the main camera of the smartphone uses all the pixels to perform autofocus, which should provide faster clicks.

New design and IP68

It offers features such as 144 Hz refresh rate, optical fingerprint reader and HDR10+ content support. It is worth considering that it still has stereo sound with spatial sound (Dolby Atmos).
