Amazon opened a new one physical store: Sells clothing and is based in Los Angeles. It is clearly not a store like any other and technology is at the heart of the customer’s shopping experience.

Is called Amazon style and it is not clear whether this is an experiment or whether the giant is interested in replicating this model elsewhere, to create a real chain of brick-and-mortar stores that can be combined with Whole Foods, Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh.

The Amazon Style catalog offers a wide selection of branded brands: there are the Levi’s jeans‘s sweatshirts Tommy Hilfingeking of the champion, as well as items from dozens of other different brands. To be clear, it doesn’t work like the Amazon Go chain supermarkets: the counters are there and the customer has to contact a real seller before going out with his purchases.

In Amazon Style it is not the same as anyone else clothing store: The customer can select the clothes he is interested in using the appropriate QR codes. She doesn’t have to drag the clothes from one part of the store to another, they are automatically taken to the dressing room where they can be tried on. The same is done to have them delivered to the cashier. Through the Amazon site you can select the clothes you want to try on directly from home. The story does not change: the customer finds them waiting for him at the checkout or in the dressing room.
