Space tourism is expanding with companies like Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin. While this is happening, corresponding problems arise. One of them is sex from planet earththe consequences of which are still unknown and require an analytical approach.
David Cullen, Professor of Bioanalytical Technology at Cranfield University in England, points in this direction in an article published in Talk. “Companies not prepared for the consequences so that people can join what we might call the Karman Lines Club.“, – he notes. “There is a good chance that the deployment of the sector will soon be followed by first intercourse outside of Earth“, – says a specialist from a British university. In addition, he predicts that sex in space will become a common practice in the next ten years.
The real concern is not closeness outside the home, but the consequences of this activity. According to Cullen, the following aspects will need to be considered.
- Although space tourism does not allow pregnant passengers, cases where this status is hidden and/or unknown have not been considered.
