Jack Dorsey is no longer a member of the Twitter board, the social network he co-founded and of which he was CEO for many years. Meanwhile, the acquisition deal with Elon Musk continues to stall and no major changes appear in sight.
As of today, Dorsey will no longer serve on the company’s board of directors or hold any position at Twitter. The news doesn’t just come out of the blue: he announced it on the occasion of his resignation from the position of Twitter CEOin Nov 2021.
Recently, Jack Dorsey had denied that he would return to the helm of the social network after Elon Musk’s takeover of the company. “I will never be CEO of Twitter again,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dorsey remains at the helm of Block (formerly Square)a payment platform with a focus on cryptocurrencies.
At the last shareholders’ meeting, the re-election to the board of the company of Egon Durban, No. 1 in Silver Lake, was rejected. He was considered an ally of Elon Musk.
