AMD has brought the Radeon RX 6700’s specs page online. This is notable considering Sapphire released the Radeon 6700 on its website a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, the manufacturer has taken the pages of sku’s without RX prefix back offline. Also, there are already tests of this new GPU.
On paper, there is little difference between the RX 6700 and the regular 6700: both have 36 processing units and 2,304 stream processors. The memory configuration is the same, with 10GB of gddr6 memory combining 16Gbps speeds with a 160-bit bus. The official model has slightly slower clock speeds, which can be explained by the overclocking of the Sapphire version. Also, the Pulse version with 220 watt tbp has significantly higher power consumption – 45 W more than the reference model.

Thanks to some 3DMark Time Spy tests shared by Twitterer MEGASizeGPU, we also get the first indication of performance level. With the RX 6700 drivers, the Radeon 6700 scores 11,166 to 11,414 points, a 7 to 9 percent increase over the RX 6650 XT. The RX 6700 XT scores 4% to 6% better.
Now that AMD has officially confirmed the existence of the RX 6700, it seems more likely that other partners will produce special models in addition to Sapphire. However, it is not yet clear when and at what price they will be available for sale.
