In 1962, an inventor named Cyril Cannell, fed up with traffic jams, set out to create a tiny car that could navigate through traffic and park anywhere. He founded Peel on the Isle of Man and created P50, the smallest car in the world.
Years later, he developed a two-passenger version called the Peel Trident, a popular bubble car because it had no doors and the glass roof could be raised. were only made 50 R50 and 80 Tridentbefore the company closed in 1974.
