While there are many rumors about the release date of the Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 processors, there is already talk of the more powerful X3D series with stacked 3D V-Cache. Twitterer Greymon55 does not exclude the possibility that AMD will release the Raphael-X before the end of this year, as mass production of it would have already begun.
Also, Saeid Moshkelani, head of AMD’s Customer Business Unit, pointed to more X3D chips during Financial Analyst Day earlier this month:
“The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is arguably the best gaming processor on the market. We are proud of what V-Cache has done for us and we will apply this technology to the Ryzen 7000 series and future generations later this year.”

So right now it looks like AMD is looking to introduce both regular Ryzen 7000 CPUs and powered X3D SKUs in the short term. It is not yet known which models are planned, currently the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is the only model to use this technology. Due to the maturity of V-Cache, the manufacturer has chosen not to support overclocking. Whether that will be the case for the next generation remains to be seen.
