Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular in the market, getting better and more popular over time.

In a world where there is still a very large percentage of internal combustion engine vehicles, electric vehicles are gradually becoming more common, mainly thanks to brands like Tesla, a pioneer in this.

But like all new technologies, there are always many doubters, either out of ignorance or because they have heard something about it.

Electric vehicles have not been spared, and with them a lot of myths have appeared, and we are going to check them out to see if this is true or not.

1. Electric cars will always be more expensive.

It was a half-truth that turned out to be false over the years.

electric vehicles they already concern the prices of gas-powered carsand will continue to narrow this gap even more in the coming years.

2. Electric vehicles will overload the grid.

There is some doubt as to whether the power grid systems of each country can withstand the presence of an infinite number of chargers distributed throughout the territory.

In part, this could be true if all cars in the country itself became electric from day to day. how it won’t be those countries that may have worse infrastructure will have time to adapt.

3. Electric vehicle batteries don’t last long.

This is perhaps one of the biggest concerns for those looking to switch to electric vehicles, and it’s kind of understandable, at least given how long the batteries in other everyday products last.

Based on data obtained from the performance of commercial electric vehicles over the past decade, it can be expected that electric vehicle batteries comfortably maintain 80% or more of its power for at least 300,000 kilometers.

4. The range of electric vehicles is insufficient.

Average distance in electric vehicle charge located 386 kilometers, and given that the average number of trips per day is 70 kilometers per day, this distance is completely covered. Some even reach 1000 kilometers of autonomy.

It is true that longer trips on the autonomy of the car itself without available charging points along the way would be a big problem, but fortunately the government is already working on this for next year.

5. Loading is not as fast as we would like.

This is again half true. It is true that early electric vehicle chargers were relatively slow, but that has changed in the last two years.

Currently There are chargers that can charge a car from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.. In addition, with the new battery material, they are expected to be fully charged in 10 minutes.

6. Electric batteries cannot be recycled.

Experts predict that in about a decade, spent lithium batteries will begin to pile up, requiring a recycling solution.

There are already several high-profile companies exploring various options, and one worthwhile one is sure to emerge. Another option would be to just connect used car batteries to network storage systems.

7. Electric vehicles are bad for the environment.

Electric cars are more efficient than those that use gas as they manage to use 66 to 77% of the energy stored in their batteries, while others they only use 20% of gasoline to drive their wheels.

It is said that this type of vehicle requires the mining of batteries and other components, which takes away all the advantages obtained in other areas, although this is not entirely true.

The current assembly and production lines for them are already optimized, and the fact that there is no need to produce as many parts as in a conventional car ends up busting this myth.
