According to Nothing’s marketing department, the phone (1) will revolutionize the market. A Geekbench result shows that, in any case, it’s not referring to specs or performance. It uses a Snapdragon 778G Plus placed at the top of the mid-range.
The G in the name means it’s a game version, but these slightly outperform the stock versions. Soc contains 8 cores in regular 1+3+4 layout. This hits a single-core score of 797 points, with a score of 2803 with all cores in use. This is not really impressive compared to flagships from well-known manufacturers, but also not inferior to what one would expect from a mid-range device.
The tested version has 8 gigabytes of memory, which is not an excessive amount, but is generally considered sufficient. It is unclear whether the company will sell multiple hardware configurations and at what price. More will undoubtedly be shared about it during the official launch on July 12.
