Joe Rogan’s podcast is the most listened to podcast in the world. It’s a unique show because, unlike other programs with such a huge audience (several million people), the host is willing to invite both prestigious scientists such as Richard Dawkins, Brian Keating and Sir Roger Penrose, and typical subjects like Alex Jones, Eric Weinstein, Tom DeLonge and Terrence Howard, one of the craziest of them all.
To date, the episode has already garnered nearly nine million views on YouTube. It lasts over three hours, which Joe Rogan talks about for only thirteen minutes.The rest consists of Terrence Howard explaining in detail each of his theories about the true nature of our universe.
I wasn’t initially going to listen to this episode, as I wasn’t interested in learning about the life of an actor I’d only seen briefly in Iron Man and Prisoners. But soon after its publication, many called this episode one of the best in the history of the podcast.. It turns out it’s pretty interesting to listen to a man trying to change the world of science with theories that seem straight out of a comedy sketch.
An endless list of crazy things
Many people already knew that Terrence Howard was completely nuts trying to reinvent physics. But this is the first time his pseudo-scientific nonsense has reached such a large audience. This has prompted many science experts to explain why their supposedly revolutionary ideas actually make no sense at all.. Although the necessity of this is debatable, given that anyone with a basic education would think that “Terryology” (as he chose to call his system of ideas) was a fraud, having learned that its revelations came to him in a dream.
The chapter begins with Terrence Howard stating that he remembers what it was like to be in the womb. Not only that, you can also remember the moment of your birth in detail. Later, when he was five years old, he had a dream in which all the secrets of physics would be revealed to him.. An entity asked him, “If you could have anything in this world, what would it be?” To which he replied, “I want to know how it all works.” The entity then opened a door, revealing a huge mansion. Upon entering, the mysterious figure began to hand him geometric shapes unlike any he had ever seen before.
This experience gave him the ability to control his dreams, so that every time he had a dream, he could say that he was dreaming, So he decided to return to the mansion, where the nature of our universe was revealed to him.. Tell us all about this in the first five minutes of the podcast…
In the rest of the podcast, the actor tries to prove to Joe Rogan the validity of his scientific findings by sharing videos, charts, and clips from his talks, the most important of which took place at Oxford University. But of course, the reason his theories are not taken seriously by the scientific community is because the powers that be want to hide the truth.. He claims that someone is spying on him, which is why his phone sometimes doesn’t work. When podcast producer Jamie’s computer freezes while playing a video, Joe Rogan jokes that it’s the fault of the forces sabotaging Terrence. To which the interviewee seriously replies, “Is there another explanation?”
Terrence Howard claims that he approached Neil deGrasse Tyson and asked him to provide him with a scientific treatise explaining his main theories. Including the most important discovery, that 1 x 1 is not equal to 1, but to 2.. As expected, Tyson crossed out most of his treatise with corrections in red pen, explaining why nothing he had written made any sense. The actor claims he later wrote a book in response to Neil’s criticism, but by then the Cosmos host was no longer returning his calls.
How did Terrence Howard end up in this position?
Terrence Howard has had an enviable acting career. He was nominated for an Oscar as Best Actor for his role in Hustle and Flow.When he appeared in the first Iron Man film as Colonel James Rhodes, he was the highest-paid actor in the cast. But while he was making it in Hollywood, Howard was accused of physical abuse against two of his ex-wives (he had three).
The actor had a rather rough childhood, as he was regularly beaten by his father. He even witnessed his father stab a man while they were standing in line to see Santa Claus at the mall. His father went to prison and divorced his mother, so Howard was raised by his grandmother. These injuries may have been the cause of his insanity..
In 2015, Rolling Stone magazine reported that Terrence Howard and his wife spent 17 hours a day creating crystalline models of the shapes that make up the movement of the universe. The woman claimed that she felt like Rapuzelle, as she spent the whole day with her husband and child in her penthouse, assembling these models.They got married three weeks after meeting, and their marriage has been rocky ever since. They divorced in 2015 but remarried in 2018.
The podcast episode caused quite a bit of controversy. Especially after musician Jack White implied on Instagram that Joe Rogan was being irresponsible by inviting a crazy guy like Terrence Howard onto his show. That argument has been repeated several times since then, but I don’t think it makes sense. Because if anyone really takes Howard’s scientific theories seriously, then first of all, they are not a very smart person..
