The United States Congress will hold a new public hearing this Wednesday (13) to discuss reports by military personnel regarding Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO, UFO or UAP).

An event titled “Unidentified Abnormal Events: Revealing the Truth” will be held starting at 13:30 (Brasília time) and will be broadcast live directly on Space.com’s YouTube.

The goal of the new hearing is to provide greater transparency on the issue for Americans, according to the U.S. House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

“This second hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) will seek to further uncover the secret UAP research programs conducted by the U.S. government and the undisclosed discoveries they have produced,” the committee said in an announcement.

Witnesses to be heard include:

  • Luis Elizondo: Former head of the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. He claims that the United States government is hiding materials from flying saucers that crashed into the country years ago;
  • Tim Gallaudet: oceanographer and retired U.S. Navy rear admiral responsible for finding unidentified diving objects;
  • Michael Gold: former deputy administrator for Space Policy and Partnerships at NASA and current member of the U.S. space agency’s Independent UFO Task Force;
  • Michael Shellenberger: journalist and founder of the Breakthrough Institute, which focuses on environmental solutions. He claims the government concealed collapsed UFO recovery programs.

first hearing

It is worth remembering that this is the second public hearing on the issue in the last two years. The first took place in July last year, and in addition to the US Department of Defense confirming nearly 400 recent sightings, including 11 near-collisions, two new videos of the alleged sightings have emerged.

Witnesses included military veterans Ryan Graves, David Fravor, David Grusch, who saw UFOs while working. Recall the statements of the three agents.
