Toyota presented a new range of vehicles called ‘Crown‘. A new brand that will include the best of the Japanese manufacturer’s offer: premium range, with interiors characterized by a luxury no different from what is expected from Lexus, and of course respectable performance.

For now, four vehicles will be sold under the Crown brand. A sedan, an SUV, a crossover and a sporty compact. They will be sold in 40 markets, but Europe is currently excluded from the operation.

Toyota has opted for a design language that is quite different from that of its traditional models. The Crown line cars have an extremely aggressive personality, thanks in part to the extremely thin and sharp headlamps and grille.

All four models rest on the same platform, a platform derived from the TNGA. The Toyota Crowns will be available in two different engines, both hybrid. A 2.4 Turbo petrol with two electric units, then an Atkinson cycle 2.5 petrol engine with electric drive in the transmission – which we’ve already seen on the Toyota RAV4.

The interior of the vehicles is luxurious and gives a premium feel. We find, of course, ample information screens in line with current market standards, while in terms of safety, every vehicle Toyota Crown can count on the Safety Sense package, which includes all Toyota’s advanced ADAS of the latest generation.
