whatsapp is working on a new rich package of news. We are talking again about the Stories, which Meta would like to see more and more central within the messaging app. So when we reported the imminent arrival of voice memos in user stories a few weeks ago, we are now talking about a way of interaction borrowed from Instagram.
Tomorrow, WhatsApp users will be able to respond to their contacts’ stories in the same way that they can on Instagram today. that’s with eight emojis. One swipe up is enough to access eight emojis: surprised face, smiling face, eyes to heart, sad face, folded hands, and applause.
The novelty has not yet been officially announced by Meta, but has – as often happens – been discovered by the specialized portal WABetaInfo within the code of one of the latest Android beta versions of the app.
Since this is still a ‘sleeping’ feature, we don’t know when it will be officially integrated into WhatsApp. It could be a matter of weeks or, more likely, several months.
WhatsApp is relentlessly working on new features to offer its users. However, it is worth noting that it is not certain that all the features tested in the beta of the app will be officially implemented. Waiting for more information, all that remains is to wait for the next WhatsApp announcement.
