Fire robots arrive, capable of firing 8,000 liters of water per minute over a distance of more than 100 meters.

In recent years, we have seen a lot of robots doing too frivolous or unnecessary tasks. Here we have a new kind of robot that will really come in handy. Even necessary, because it prevents firefighters from getting into dangerous situations.

The Austrian company LUF presented two fire robots capable of extinguishing fires from a distance of 100 meterswith great precision.

Since it is about unmanned vehicles they can easily get close to the fire, put it out faster. And its technical characteristics are impressive. You can see them in action in the opening video image.

The first one robot LUF 300 SG, equipped with a spectacular water cannon that can rotate 290 degrees and point in any direction. Built-in hose can run 4000 liters of water per minute at a distance of 85 meters.

It also has a “fog” mode or water curtainwhich spreads a kind of fine rain over a large area of ​​land to cover the entire house at a distance of 60 meters.

finally owns fan mode that pushes water with great forceextinguishing the fire by “crushing” and by the air itself, emitted along with water.

A second robot was recently introduced. This is about LUF 300 HF. Using a pressure hose instead of a gun, he outdoes his partner.

Another advantage of these robots is that they are small in size so they can get through holes where a fire truck can’t fit. They even have the ability to move around and move cars.
