Albert Einstein told Marie Curie not to call him ‘haters’; see a letter

A few weeks before receiving the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in November 1911, scientist Marie Curie received a friendly letter from Albert Einstein with a valuable tip for everyone. in the message, The German physicist tells Curie not to worry about it. haters that bothered him.

The story begins in 1906, when the scientist’s husband, Pierre Curie, died, leaving him a widow. A few years later, Marie had an affair with physicist Paul Langevin, a former doctoral student of Pierre’s – at that time Langevin was affectionately separated from his wife, but not legally.

After returning from a conference in Brussels with 20 scientists in 1911, some letters exchanged between Curie and Langevin were published on media platforms of the period, revealing the romance – the letters were delivered by Langevin’s ex-wife. Then the story spread “in the mouth of the people”.

When she returns home, Marie is greeted by a horrified crowd, which horrifies the scientist and her two daughters, so they move elsewhere until the “scandal” is forgotten. After Albert Einstein discovered the story, he was disgusted by people’s reaction and wrote a letter to his friend.

“If the crowd continues to invade you, don’t read that nonsense, leave it to the creeps it was made for.” Einstein said in the most memorable moment of the letter. “I feel compelled to tell you how much I admire your intelligence, determination and honesty and feel lucky to have met you in Brussels in person,” the scientist wrote in the same message.
