With the advent of the pandemic, society had to be reinvented, moving classes and work from home, and with it the distribution and increase in traffic in applications designed for video calls and Google Meet, perhaps in order to get a good set of loyal users decided to use free calls for more than two participants.

But since it was an exceptional act, and society has practically returned to normal, Google is again charging for video calls with more than two participants, at least if they are longer than 60 minutes..

So Google Meet is already warning users that it’s going back to the time limit on group calls with three or more participants, because we’ll now have a maximum of 60 minutes for calls with more than two people.

In this type of call with more than two participants, after 50 minutes, all users will receive a notification that the call will be terminated in a few minutes, with a call to sign up and improve their Google account.

It should be clarified that calls between two participants, a normal video call to use, yes, they are still free and we can hold meetings up to 24 hours non-stop no need to have a subscription.

According to the current plans that are being processed, those Google Meet participants who want to make video calls with more than two participants for more than 60 minutes will have to pay a minimum of 9.99 euros per month.
