So far, all eVTOLs, i.e. electric vertical takeoff aircraftA pilot’s license is required to use them. Something logical, since it is still a flying ship. Nonetheless Rysen Recon is the first VTOL aircraft that does not require a pilot’s license. You can see it in action in the introductory video of the news.
Ryse Recon is a flying car that offers simple control with two joysticks. It is controlled in the same way as a toy drone.
It is also extremely stable both in flight and landing, as seen in the video. Can stand perfectly still in the airquite impressive considering it carries one person.
This eVTOL uses six electric motors and props. maximum load 91 kg. We’re not entirely sure why it doesn’t require a pilot’s license, as its specs are intimidating: It can rise to a height of up to 200 meters and fly at a speed of 93 km/h. with a cruising speed of 40 km/h.
Its autonomy is not very high, about 25 minutes, although it has replaceable batteries, so autonomy can be immediately extended.
Ryse Recon is designed for use on private lands, on farms and agricultural plantations. The idea is that the farmer can quickly reach his destination without following the path, or on rainy days when all the ground is muddy and the car or van cannot move forward.
East eVTOL without a pilot’s license the final tests on real land have already begun, and several exhibitions are planned in the coming months. It will go on sale next year for about 150,000 euros.
