We all know the company of Instagram test new features for the platform, although there’s no way to customize what ends up in your feed, that may change soon.

Once this feature is implemented, Instagram users will have an option to ensure that their Explore page only shows the media they want to see and not anything else. Right now, this Explore page is the pinnacle of the type of post we interact with the most, but in the meantime, you’ll see some posts that have absolutely nothing in common with what you normally look at.

The new test allows users to further refine their feed and hopefully provide featured content that actually aligns with what users are interested in. Users can also refine their feed by selecting the content they are not interested in and marking it as ‘Not interested’.

It allows you to mark multiple items at once and make things a lot faster for everyone, which is good. It’s worth noting that the feature isn’t available to everyone and there’s a chance Instagram will go ahead and change things altogether, but we need a new filtering feature.
