The BMW Group he had set himself the goal double the number of electric cars sold in 2022. In the first 9 months of the year, it maintained its commitment: the Group has already sold a total of 128,196 electric cars. The figure refers precisely to the fully electric cars from BMW and MINI and therefore does not include the different types of hybrid cars.

During the first nine months of 2022, BMW more than doubled its electric car sales. This figure was 114.8 % higher than the number of EVs sold in the same period last year.

In the third quarter of 2022 alone – the best since last quarter’s slowdown – the BMW Group sold 52,306 electric vehicles. It is the same group that explains that sales have started to grow again after the difficulties that occurred between March and May, due to supply constraints, partly due to the conflict in Ukraine.

During the third quarter of 2022, 587,795 vehicles were sold. From January to September 1,747,889 vehicles were sold BMW, MINI And Rolls Royce. In September, sales increased by 6.6%.

BMW explained that most of the growth in the electric segment is due to the success of the BMW iX3, i4 and iX. The company said that even the MINI electric it’s going very well. Now we have to wait for the new BMW i7 and iX1, with which BMW can achieve even more ambitious goals. If it continues this way, it is almost certain that the BMW Group will achieve its goal of doubling the number of electric cars sold compared to 2021.
