Microsoft celebrates another milestone: more than 10 million users have already tried it Xbox Cloud Gaming, the service to play in streaming. This was revealed by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the press conference dedicated to the quarter’s results.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is one of many perks included with the subscription Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from $14.99. The service gives you access to an extensive catalog of video games that you can play in streaming and on a wide variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and browsers.

That’s a staggering number when you consider that the cloud gaming it is still in its infancy. Microsoft’s main competitors – such as Stadia, Google’s platform – have not yet released their official data on the number of active users.

As for Game Pass, last January Microsoft announced the death of 25 million subscribers, a number that is growing sharply from the 18 million the previous year.

Microsoft, writes The Verge, has invested heavily in the Xbox Cloud Gaming project. The service is available on both Android and iOS, as well as PC and Xbox consoles. Thanks to the integration within the Xbox consoles, you can play next-gen titles with the now ‘old’ Xbox One. The service uses a rich arsenal of Xbox Series X consoles connected to the Microft Cloud infrastructure.

Tomorrow – Microsoft promises – it will be possible to use the Xbox ecosystem from any device connected to the internet, including Smart TVs. Xbox Cloud Gaming games can be played easily from an app, with no additional hardware required. Except for the controller, of course.
