You can now download Moment 1, the big update to Windows 11 2022.

microsoft yesterday announced its first Moment update for Windows 11, one of the regular updates the company announced last month, which includes, among other things, the Amazon Appstore, Tabbed File Explorer, and taskbar improvements.

As noted in September with the release of the Windows 11 2022 update, Microsoft said it would periodically add new features and functionality to Windows 11, similar to the company’s “feature packs” in the past.

The company also announced the availability of the Windows 10 2022 update (also known as Windows 10 version 22H2). This update includes a small number of features focused on performance, security, and management.

The update, known as Moment 1, will be available this October for all systems running the Windows 11 2022 update.. You can find out what’s new in the latest feature update for Windows 11 in the official Microsoft video below.

This is the same update that was distributed through the Windows Insider channels, so the changelog is already well knowngiven that this update has been in preview since July.

These are operating system update changes

  • Tabbed File Browser with Improved Favorites: File Explorer in Windows 11 now lets you open folders in tabs for fewer windows. There is also an updated favorites section that allows you to pin your most used files.
  • Suggested actions– Windows 11 provides improved collaboration and productivity by identifying future phone numbers or dates in text and suggesting actions in related apps like Phone Link, Teams, Skype, Calendar, and more.

  • Taskbar overflow: apps that don’t fit on the taskbar now show up in a new secondary menu similar to the one in the notification area, providing a single space for all running programs.
  • Right click to launch task manager: You can now right-click on the taskbar to launch Task Manager. Microsoft introduced this much-needed change in one of the latest Dev builds, but it doesn’t seem to be in today’s release.

Suggested actions in Windows 11

  • Enhancement Sharing: Microsoft has improved Windows Share so that the operating system can discover more nearby devices directly from desktop, File Explorer, Photos, Xbox and other apps.
  • Compatible with Android apps and Amazon App Store.A: Windows 11 now supports Android apps in 31 countries through the 50,000-plus Amazon App Store.
  • Updated Photos app: the update will be released later this month and as you can see it will bring a redesigned interface to make it more visual and beautiful despite not making major changes at the option level.

The Future of Windows 10 Status and Moments Updates

Windows 10 version 22H2 is now available through Windows Server Update Services. (including Configuration Manager), Windows Update for Business, and Volume License Service Center (VLSC).

To install Windows 10 22H2, open Windows Update settings. (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update) and select “Check for” updates. Supported devices also have the option to choose to upgrade to Windows 11.

Concerning the first Moment update (internally known as 228xx) will be released as a cumulative update this October. The second Moment update (Moment 2) is expected to arrive next year, as we’ll see.
