Yesterday Netflix officially announced his new plan in subscription with advertising. With this you can save a few euros compared to the Basic subscription and from November 3 also in Italy.

The main difference lies in the presence of commercials – before and during TV series and films -, otherwise the benefits are the same as with the basic subscription: a maximum of one screen at a time, 720p resolution (and no longer at 480p, even on the ad-free basis) and access to Netflix Games from the Android app.

Netflix has increased the resolution of the Base plan from 480p to 720p.

It is possible to access the new subscription from any compatible device, by continuing to use one of the many versions of the official Netflix application or by going to the platform’s website.

Netflix’s current proposal now includes four offerings:

Netflix has confirmed that the ads will also be shown during, and not just before, the content is played. The pauses cannot be skipped and last between 15 and 30 seconds. Netflix will limit the serving of commercials to approximately 5 minutes of advertising per hour of content viewed.

With the new economic plan, Netflix hopes to curb severe subscriber bleeding over the course of 2022. In the future, the company will, among other things, prohibit the sharing of accounts between people from different families.
