“Freeing” some devices from the constraints imposed by the manufacturing companies is often a common practice, even if we are talking generally about classic devices and not about particularly limited tools. However, this was not the case with Kindle by Amazonunderperforming articles designed for reading books but constrained by Amazon’s software to perform optimally.

However, a group of hackers has a jailbreak working with i Kindle that have been updated to version 5.14.2 or earlier, which allows you to install third-party book-reading applications, integrate new fonts and screen savers, or change the interface to fully customize your experience.

There is also support for the format EPUM, even if it must be said that officially not everything is allowed, and in fact the company does not allow in any way to modify the devices in question. The only requirement is not to upgrade your devices to the version 5.14.3which basically applied a patch for vulnerability.

Since everything could be available in a short time, it is good that those who do not want to update their device deactivate the Wi-Fi to avoid automatic updates. However, it should be borne in mind that such operations may endanger the devices and void the warranty.
