Waiting for the official announcement of the Radeon RX 6050 XT refresh, Wccftech has already shared some benchmark results. Both the RX 6950 XT, 6750 XT and 6650 XT were tested along with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in several 3DMark tests.

In Time Spy, the RX 6950 XT achieves a graphics score of 22,209 points, almost identical to the RTX 3090 Ti (22,191 points). The 6750 XT is very close to the RTX 3070 (14,205 points out of 13,999), while the 6650 XT with 10,262 points is between the RX 6700 XT and 6600 XT.

In Fire Strike Extreme, the two most powerful new RDNA 2 cards perform significantly better: the 6950 XT scores 10% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti, the RX 6750 XT is several percent faster than the RTX 3070 Ti. Finally, this benchmark discusses the 6650 XT, which is closer to the regular RX 6600 XT.

But given the ray tracing performance of the RX 6000 series, it’s no surprise that Nvidia’s RTX 3000 cards take the lead in Port Royal. According to Wccftech, the RX 6950 XT comes close to the RTX 3080, while the 6750 XT is just as fast as the RTX 2080. The 6650 XT is said to be slightly more powerful than the RTX 3050.

While these synthetic tests may not show the whole picture, they are at least the first indication of performance level. The refreshed RDNA 2 chips and related dedicated graphics cards are expected to be introduced on May 10.
