The Artemis I mission was one of the most impressive achievements of humanity in recent times. The program delivered the Orion capsule to the Moon and back to Earth. In honor of this, the European Space Agency (ESA) published a video summarizing 25 days of the mission in just 60 seconds.showcasing their most impressive accomplishments and some of the members who brought their success to life.

From images of the Orion capsule taking off to others taken during its lunar orbit. Here are all the important points of Artemis I in great detail.. Compressing 25 days of a space mission is not easy, but ESA has managed to highlight the most exciting moments and those that remind us that we are getting closer to becoming an interplanetary species.

Remember that the Artemis program will consist of several missions.. The first of these was Artemis I, and now that the hardest part has come to an end, we can only wait to see the fruits that explorers and scientists are harvesting. Subsequently, Artemis II will become the main target of the space agencies.

Artemis I: reconnaissance and demonstration mission

The Artemis I mission reached the Moon with its Orion capsule. Although he did not make contact with the celestial body, he was very close to its surface. He even broke the record for the longest flight range of a spacecraft designed for astronauts. Among its main goals was supposed to demonstrate the capabilities of the Orion systems during space flight. As well as ensuring safe re-entry, descent and recovery. Now that these points have been proven, everything seems to point to a resounding success for the mission.

Artemis II is the next stop for the Orion capsule. Despite the fact that the mission is almost identical in execution to I, it will have a very important difference: it will be a manned mission. It is scheduled for 2024, but due to delays with Artemis 1, it is possible that its launch could also be delayed until sometime in 2025. However, it will become one of the highlights of the program, taking people to a space of depth never seen before.

much later Artemis III will now be responsible for bringing humanity to the surface of the moon.. However, between the second and third mission, space agencies will have to build all the necessary infrastructure to accommodate astronauts on a natural satellite. NASA has already started funding proposals that would allow the lunar base to be 3D printed from materials from the satellite.

Program Artemis plans to expand to seven different missions., so that its end will not come either in the short or medium term. There are many more space flights ahead.
