on the toes, Apple continues his ambitious plan to enter the automotive world. Maybe with a real ‘Apple Car‘, a car made from scratch, or perhaps by simply designing technologies to sell to traditional automakers. Today, Project Titan remains largely a mystery.

What is certain is that Apple recently shopped for talent and hired an industry veteran: Desi Ujkashevic, aka the former global director of automotive safety engineering by Ford A highly skilled executive who has been in the industry since 1991.

Before that, she was an engineer in the security division of Ford of Europe and was also a member of the global design department. More recently, he had curated some aspects of Ford’s move to electric. “If you want to design your own electric car, it looks like” Desi Ujkashevic is the right person for the job,” summarizes the Engadget website.

Apple’s first projects on the four-wheel front date back to 2015. Between 2020 and 2021, it looked like things were finally starting to move, with the company starting some negotiations with some major Asian auto giants.

“I am excited, I am about to embark on a new adventure and I hope I can continue to contribute to society and advance technology with the aim of making the world a better place,” reads a Linkedin post from Desi Ujkashevic posted shortly before the announcing its arrival to Apple.
