Elon Musk is about to celebrate one of Tesla’s most important events, which means reveal its ambitious third “Master Plan”, in which he details the company’s overall strategy for the coming years. The mogul confirmed on his Twitter profile that Investor Day will take place on March 1 at the Gigafactory in Texas as an in-person event that will bring together institutional and retail investors. He also identified some of the topics that will be discussed at this conference.

Musk, in particular, said in his tweet that “Master Plan 3” is “the path to a fully sustainable energy future of the Earth.” In a post published a year ago, he claimed What “Tesla core themes will be blown to extreme proportions”, noting that it is “needed to move humanity away from fossil fuels and AI”. Therefore, it is assumed that one of the strategies of this new plan is to significantly increase the production of electric vehicles.

Tesla CEO too seems to hint at the launch of a new budget car. This, no doubt, will allow to increase production to those “extreme” sizes indicated by the tycoon himself, and, therefore, go the way to a sustainable energy future. We must not forget that Musk confirmed his intention to sell the Tesla Model 2 for around $25,000. In addition, at a face-to-face meeting, he clarified that the production of this model will begin in 2023. However, later it turned out that plans to launch this model were canceled or at least put on hold. Therefore, it would not be strange for Tesla to resume this project.

The tycoon also confirmed that he will present sections on SpaceX, his aerospace company, and The Boring Company during the conference.

Tesla is about to announce a third “Master Plan” despite not completing the second yet

Elon Musk, yes, will reveal the company’s overall strategy for the coming years having failed to fulfill all the goals he proposed at the time of the announcement of his second “Master Plan”.

That being said, let’s remember, the tycoon revealed that Tesla’s intent was primarily to produce solar panels that could integrate with the company’s own-designed batteries. Also expand vehicle production to create options for all segments, as well as develop an autonomous driving system that is 10 times safer than manual driving. Musk also said that Tesla is going to enable vehicle owners to make money without using their car.

First master plan, announced in 2006 and aimed at creating a sports car that would be profitable for the development of cheaper models, was carried out. Tesla launched the Rodaster, which funded the Model S (the most affordable model); and later the Model X. This in turn allowed the development of two cheaper models, the Model 3 and Model Y.
