Although Nvidia no longer releases Game Ready drivers for Kepler graphics cards, the manufacturer is providing security updates for these legacy GPUs until September 2024. While the GTX 600, 700, and the original Titan cards already received a patch at the beginning of February, a new update is now available to close any leaks.

While this driver does not fix bugs or introduce new features, it does remove any security risk. Nvidia reports at least nine different CVE IDs, with a score between 4.1 and 8.5 out of 10. Worst cases are vulnerabilities in the kernel-mode layer and DirectX 11 user-mode driver where malicious parties can gain access to the system.
