According to Microsoft, the cumulative update KB5014697, which has been deployed since June 14, may prevent a computer from connecting to a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Disconnecting and logging in again temporarily resolves the issue. Microsoft is still looking for a permanent solution. Affected operating systems include:
- Consumer editions of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11
- Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012, 2008
Also, this same update can cause another issue on ARM systems. Under Windows 10 or 11, ARM devices may not be able to login to Azure Active Directory. This means that in some cases Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Outlook and VPN connections are unavailable. A workaround is to use the web versions of the respective apps.
