It looks like Samsung isn’t the only one attacking the latest devices introduced by Apple. this time Garmin got it with the new Apple Watch Ultra, the model for extreme athletes introduced by Apple just a few days ago. Apple’s goal is to compete directly with Garmin’s premium models, and it looks like the company isn’t too worried.

To introduce its latest Enduro 2 watch for athletes, Garmin wanted to clarify their device’s strong point: “We measure battery life in months. Not hours”. However, we are dealing with devices that are quite different despite being aimed at a similar audience.

After all, the Apple Watch Ultra is still an Apple Watch

Apple Watch Ultra is still an Apple Watch with all its features. Well, it is not just a sports watch and many more functions.

For example, Apple Watch Ultra, eSIM and lets you make calls, send messages or download apps, things not found on Garmin devices. Not to mention the impressive almost 2-inch display of the Apple Watch Ultra, it has a 1.4″ Polar 2.

And so while it’s true that the Apple Watch Ultra has, longest battery life of any Apple Watch To date, Apple has promised up to 36 hours of normal use and up to 60 hours with watchOS 9’s new Low Power Mode setting. Enduro 2 can last much longer depending on usage scenarios.

Interestingly, although Garmin claims to measure battery life in months, not hours, the company actually advertises it. Enduro 2 has “up to 150 hours of battery life in solar-charged GPS mode”.

Even if you use all satellite systems and music, Up to 20 hours of autonomy declared. While it’s true that it also states “up to 34 days of battery life in smartwatch mode” as long as we use solar charging.

Then, we are still faced with two very different devices and very different capacities. The Apple Watch Ultra is a regular Apple Watch with advanced features and more battery life to compete with such devices, but it does so from a different perspective.
