Television journalism is in mourning. In the last few hours, the presenters of the noon edition of ‘Noticias RCN’ confirmed that veteran reporter Pilar López, who covered Nariño on the national channel for more than 20 years, had died of cancer.

According to the presenters on the set of ‘RCN TV’, López’s death occurred Friday night.
“Honest, brave and fearless reporter who always reports what is happening in Nariño”Rossy Lemos said the following about López, who is known by the channel’s followers as ‘the face of news in the southwest of the country’.
“He exemplifies the passion for truth and integrity in his profession. His reporting was a testament to his passion and journalistic ethics.”He described the journalist who covered López’s death.

“Rest in peace, dear Pilar. Your memory will continue to enlighten Colombian journalism,” the reporter said in his report.
