Borgen is back, the legendary political series has released a sequel on Netflix

Drama serials with a political background have always found their audience. One of the top hits a few years ago was the Danish series Borgen, which returned ten years later. Borgen: Kingdom, Power and Glory sequel.

He told the story of the original series birgitte nyborg (Sidse Babett Knudsen) is a Danish politician who became the first woman to become Prime Minister of Denmark by a series of treaties.

Borgen is the colloquial name for Christiansborg Palace, where the three branches of government and the office of the Danish Prime Minister are located.

The original series tells the story of the relationship between Danish politicians and the media and how they influence each other. Although fictitious party and press names are used, they correspond to real Danish names.

Borgen Sidse Babett Knudsen is played by Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Pilou Asbæk. It is an Alan Price production for public broadcaster Danmarks Radio.

This political drama was a huge hit all over the world. It premiered in 2010 and ran for 3 seasons until 2014.. You can watch it on Netflix right now.

Eight years later, the series returns Borgen: Kingdom, power and glorywhat will it be a sequel/fourth season, although it is at the marketing level it is not cataloged as such.

Birgitte Nyborg is currently Secretary of State, but her career is in jeopardy when the fight over Greenland oil threatens to escalate into an international crisis. You can watch the trailer here:

Sidse Babett Knudsen is reprising her role as a Danish politician, while former press officer Katrine Fønsmark (Birgitte Hjort Sørensen) is now the news chief for a major television channel.

The plot of this sequel is getting more international and seems to touch on issues like the use of resources in protected areas, climate change.
