After an anime adaptation for TV in 2017 with kakegurui and another in 2019 with kakegurui xx (as well as the live action version), the series created by Homura Kawamoto sees a new chapter with Kakegurui Twinprequel animated series arriving on Netflix from June 5: here’s the trailer and the two official posters.
The new series is borrowed from the Homura Kawamoto and Kei Saiki manga of the same name (published in SQUARE ENIX’s Gan Gan JOKER) and is directed by Kaori Makita, with the character design by Manabu Nii. The animation was produced by Studio MAPPA.

This is the summary of the series:
A year before the raven-black beautiful Yumeko Jabami moves to her school, a modest girl named Mary Saotome enrolls as a model student at the private Hyakkao Academy, attended by many girls from the higher echelons of politics and finance. But the school is controlled by a strict hierarchical system governed by gambling. Here, academic achievement and athletic skills don’t count… the most important thing is the skill in gambling. Female students who have fallen into debt due to gambling see school life as ‘pets’. Will Mary Saotome manage to create a future for herself in this academy where gambling reigns supreme?
