THE Duffer brothers they continue to work for the streaming platform Netflix in the coming years, and they will through the universe of Weird stuffthanks to the announcement of the production of a spin-off series.

To work on this and other projects, the Duffer brothers founded Upside Down Pictures, a production company headed by Hilary Leavitt. No details have been released about the Stranger Things spin-off that is in the works. However, it is known, as reported by the creators themselves, that there will be no Elf or Steve Harrington as protagonists in the project.

But the Duffer brothers don’t just have this project in the pipeline. The two creators will also produce a TV series based on: the talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub. The project will also be coordinated by Amblin Entertainment and Paramount Television.

Netflix’s Ted Sarandos said:

Matt and Ross are exceptional talents. They have a real eye for detail and it is no coincidence that Stranger Things managed to capture the zeitgeist of the time. We are excited to share new stories with them, Hilary and Upside Down Pictures.

Recall that the latest episodes of Stranger Things 4 were released on Netflix on July 1.
