Alex Lewis (Liam Neeson), a hit man nearing retirement, is summoned to carry out one last mission. But when he discovers that the target is a young girl, he refuses to carry out the assignment and turns against the evil organization that hired him. His quest for revenge takes him to the top of the criminal group, led by charming El Paso real estate mogul Davana Sealman (Monica Bellucci) and his son, who control the lives of many innocent boys. To save his skin he will have to hunt and kill them before they do. Meanwhile, he is also hunted by the FBI, who are already on the trail in the person of Agent Vincent Serra (Guy Pearce).
